Chernarussian Factions 1.1 is released, officially making the mod compatible with GM.
Currently adds CDF, ChDKZ, and CDF vehicles.

Roadmap is in mod description, but is currently as follows:

  • fix bugs associated with release of update 1.1
  • add balaclavas and other needed Chdkz headgear
  • add more roles and groups for both factions
  • add CDF variants of 1.3 vehicles
  • add TAZ83 gear for chdkz
  • add a 6b5 with no front pockets that an ALICE rig can fit over
  • add ChDKZ vehicles
  • add NAPA

i have plans for submods as well, but later down the line:

  • modern cdf, utilizing RHS status quo
  • CF fluffs picks, utilizing a variety of mods to get the most accurate A2 factions
    These wont be incorporated into the base mod because it will remain dependency free.

Working plan is to slowly complete most of the roadmap objectives then release a 2.0 update. I might do everything except for NAPA for 2.0 and save that for later. But now that the mod is playable, I'm not feeling much of a rush and I'm very busy IRL, so no ETAs any time soon...

  • im aware of the chedakis having cdf preview images, not sure why but ill get around to fixing it

Notice:
Due to a communication error between the person who gave me the TF assets and the creator, I no longer have permission to use any TF assets, though I guess it was never properly cleared in the first place. Unfortunately it's a day too late for an april fools prank. PEPW
Due to this, the following assets will be temporarily removed form the mod:

  • 6b5-15 rig

  • CDF vehicles

  • TF CDF uniform (was not implemented into 1.1)

  • The ChDKZ and Custom CDF equipment and uniforms will remain, alongside the GM factions

  • the 6b3 rig will temporarily be used as a standin for the 6b5

All of the removed assets will eventually make a return

  • I purchased the 6b5 rig from the same place TF originally did, so once rigged for enfusion it can be set up again and readded.
  • CDF vehicles will come back once redone custom by myself.
  • Though the exact TF uniforms will not return, some form of a modern CDF camo will be created for later use in a submod

Though it's unfortunate, hopefully this will turn out to be a good thing in the long run. Some things are too good to be true, and this will give me complete ownership of all assets used in the mod and allow me to produce higher quality assets than what was previously used.

No progress on the mod since I havent had much free time. Thats changing now though, so current goal is to implement chedaki Taz83 uniforms, balaclavas, and 6b5 armor thats compatible with the vanilla alice rigs for the a2 accuracy.

This will take time though especially since im not familiar with model import yet, but I will upload photos when i make some progress

If anyones familiar with weight painting, especially for enfusion or knows somebody who is, OR someone ho had worked with full-head face covers like a balaclava before please shoot or ask them to shoot me a dm. I'd appreciate it a lot.
But the balaclavas are pretty much done minus GM intergration and the weight paint issue. 6b5 is supposed to be up next but I know its going to kick my ass.

With the removal of Chernarus from the workshop I've lost a lot of motivation for this mod. Alongside me needing to pay up a hefty commission on a 6b5 model for a mod that no longer really has a niche to fill.
Ill continue with it, but I was already taking it slow, probably even slower now as well.

He used the data (the heightmap) from the DAYZ chernarus+, not the a2 chernarus. Couldnt tell you off the top of my head what the difference is but there is one ig. If Wolf had used the A2 one it wouldve been permitted, but DayZ assets arent available for use like A2's are

The texture for the body armour is based off the separate mod "6b3" but was removed as a dependency so it removes the texture for the armour. The 6b3 mod is still something you can download and use, it's a really cool mod for old soviet armour but doesn't fix the AIs armour texture issue

The bugged helmet is like a CDF camo Altan helmet, looks perfectly fine from the outside but in 1st person you can see the top rim of the helmet so it kinda blocks your vision a tiny bit

Yeah to an extent. 6b5 had to be removed because permission to use it was backtracked, i spent some time looking into getting a model commissioned but felt like i was getting scammed. Ik there are some chernarus maps out there like yalls WZ but I dont have much interest in the mod anymore after Chernarus’ removal
