Hi to all 👋

We have been playing the experimental branch for over 3 months now and can share the information we have received.

At first I was glad that they added rank restrictions for getting different gear.
It was something new and seemed to solve all the problems on earth.

After a while, playing with friends, we realized that the current changes are too harsh and will harm the online game, making the Conflict mode specific to veterans of the Arma series.

Such modes usually die after a few years, since there is no influx of new players...

The main question that is open to me is: what was the purpose of the current changes? What problem do they solve?

Now players who like to play for a particular role, for example, a sniper, will not be able to do this by simply entering the server.
They will need to level up to a certain rank each time, which will get boring very quickly...

Yes, they can always ask a player with a higher rank to give them the necessary equipment, but even on the experimental version, such requests are rarely answered.
And on the stable version, a situation can always arise where there are no high-ranking players on the server at all.

Plus, a huge number of players have already gotten used to getting some things right at the start.
Most likely, most of them will not play the new version...

It's also unclear how the restriction will help with the fact that players can still drain all supplies from the base by buying standard equipment in huge quantities.

The Conflict is no longer a sandbox...

Even in the game Squad, which has much less freedom, you can be a sniper or a pilot from the start of the match

I think if the problem is that players are taking too much gear, then it should be solved by weight and cost restrictions on that gear

They just need to Change some stuff

Skinned M16s should also not be Captian or whatever. As much as i hate everyone leaping as SSO I don’t think it’s fair. Bc majority of US players wanna play like that

And scopes on rank 3. Idk

Rn it’s RPG spam meta for soviets and US will just air strike everything with helis which is annoying asf

Bc the soviets have no cheap AA

And helis are such a pain

Yesterday there where 5 helis and 4 of which had rockets over one Point. Every BTR or machine gun was Instantly targeted by Atleast 2 helis

And they just didnt let us do shit bc every vehicle around the map was targeted

#

Soviets Need more AA. Bc the American helis have the best rockets, are faster, smaller, and have less Rockets which saves them automatically

Bc they won’t Stick around as long

#

Also Splash damage on Mi-8 rockets is so terrible

#

Bc US has Humvees and .50 cal AA from the start

#

And against Slow flying Mi-8s it’s so easy to shoot them down

I mean BTR is also great at shooting down heli while being a rank lower

**Have one for AT, for MMG, for LSW Gunner, For pilot, For Crewman etc etc. **

They could easily inherit from the AI's gear if BI really wanted to

Not really, FIA RPGs are readily available and can easily wipe the floor with any heli/vehicular threats especially for US are the only viable way right now to counter the BTR/MI-8/BDRM threat

Maybe we could even unlock unarmed helicopters from the start of the match, only condition is there can only be 2-3 active per team.
