Powder & Blood is a Submod to Nassau 1715, aiming to expand usability, adding new content and new features.
Here is an overview of the currently added features and assets.

Ships
Two new ship types have been added:

  • Ketch
  • Schooner

Firearms
Currently there are three new weapons and one field artillery gun added.

  • Queen Anne Pistol
  • Collier Flintlock Revolver
  • Blunderbuss Pistol
  • 6 Punder Field Artillery Gun

Melee Weapons
There are three new melee weapons included which are based on "Improved Melee System" from Webknight and require that mod to be running.
These are completely optional and are loaded automatically if IMS is loaded as part of the modlist, otherwise these will be ignored and are only available as props.

Structures/Props
Various new buildings and props have been added to be used in missions/maps.

  • Structures: 33
  • Props: 14+
  • Items: 17

Map
A new map featuring several islands of varying size and style is included as well.
Said map is using a mix of vanilla assets as well as specifically added ones to fit the theme the mod revolves around.

Map stuff:
Size: 10240x10240m
Cell Size 10m
Object Count: 129474+

"Simplified Sailing"
Nassau 1715 itself has a custom and very detailed sailing system.
While said system is great, it can be a daunting task for new players. As such I have decided to simplify the sailing for those who prefer a less realistic approach.
There are simplified ships which will only require players to set sails once, the sails will then keep setting themselves automatically according to wind direction.
So you no longer will have to run around the ship to keep setting sails manually, however the actual wind mechanics from Nassau do still apply, so you will still have to watch the wind and your heading.
All ships (from Nassau and Powder & Blood) are available in the regular sailing system which is added by Nassau 1715 as well as in simplified form added by Powder & Blood.

AI Ships
Due to how the ships in Nassau work they so far have never worked with AI, meaning it was hard to play the mod in single player or even with smaller groups of players (at least the naval part).
Thanks to a script based on the work of @Madin and with the help from @orchid field I was able to set up AI ships which are able to follow waypoints given to them, as well as engaging players and AI respectively.
They still come with some caveats and there is still a decent amount of work left to do.
