Thread for community members to submit questions and/or requests for the three upcoming Arma Reforger Modding Boot Camps (March - April) on animation.

  1. What is the recommended method to creating prone reload animations (assuming that "just make it from scratch like you did the standing one" isn't the most optimal way forward).

  2. What are the list of commands that the animation graph accepts (like the one used to determine if the weapon is out of ammo) and how should one set up custom ones?

  3. Is it possible to animate aspects of a user weapon on demand?

  • Is it possible to use custom player meshes with and without a custom skeleton? - Does Enfusion support animation retargeting?

1: Can you explain aimspace animations? Their function and how to go about creating them such as which angles to make, which export profiles to use for each situation, e.g. turret, vehicle seat, etc.

2: Is it possible to apply upper body animations on top of existing lower body locomotion? Such as to create a new weapon animation instance without recreating all the locomotion.

(If this is not possible, would we be able to get samples of the locomotion like prone, walk, run, sprint, etc? Its extremely extensive work to remake these to try match vanilla animations.)
