i'd check the setup first. are the .acp files on your new weapon's prefabs?

could be.

anim editor has "live debug" functionality. you can attach to your weapon, record some anims, detach again and scroll through the recording. if the sound event name pops up in the text debug view, you know that anims are fine & that sound event was sent to audio engine.

at this point, there needs to be the appropriate soundcomponent & acp on the entity. then youre good.
