Summary
In Coalitions Friday Sessions we lacked an HMG/Mortar element to our gameplay, as we could never use them do to their static nature, so I built out a system that functions almost exactly like Arma 3s static weapon system for use in our sessions.

Features
-Adds new weapon emplacement backpacks like the M2 and NSV.
-Adds functionality for M60 and PKMs to deploy to their tripod form if a tripod bag is nearby.
-Adds functionality for moving tripod weapons.
-Adds functionality to assemble and disassemble static weapons.

Arma Reforger

Introduces a system for moving, placing, assembling and disassembling static weapons. Inspired from a similar system in Arma 3.

One of my buds tested this. Any plans to fix the stretchy arms? Also, no way to elevate it. Will this be added in the future?

The only way to elevate it is to get on the same level as where you are placing it.

To prevent it from teleporting on top of buildings and such but I can look into having a buffer zone so you can place it a little higher

Also the animations are just a base game thing

I'll look into a solution for when a tripod is on the ground you will lay down but its at the bottom of my list of priorities to make an animation for it

Small update today
-Added so that if you go 10m away from the turret it will cancel the moving action.
-Added a check to see if while a player is moving a turret and they go uncon or die, it now cancels the moving of the turret.

@pastel quarry Hi I saw that you added the mortars, to differentiate what do you think about using the slightly larger backpack? Simulationally speaking it gives the sense that everything fits inside

Get yourself a battle buddy
One carries a bipod backpack, the other carries the weapon of your choosing backpack
Put both on the ground and use the assemble weapon action on the weapon bag

Doing disassemble weapon gives you the weapon bag and the bipod bag back and saves all the ammo that was in the weapon

M60 and PKM can be placed on tripods as well if you have an AMG with a tripod bag

Hi. Do you plan to add realistic backpack models for machine guns? Something like these:

There is a problem with ammunition for this mod. For example if you assemble M2 and take ammo out and then dissasemble and then assemble again you have ammunition in it again, so this is the way to duplicate ammo.

To solve this you could make it so weapon spawns without any ammo, so user would need to either come with 3 guys or load ammo into car. Maybe there is more casual way to fix it

Another bug or problem is that if you have 2 static weapons placed close together(like 5 or 10m apart) and you try to move one of those, they both move to the same spot

I know how it works I was testing it yesterday on my server and I have stated what kind of bugs or exploits or whatever I have found

I hope they can fix it if not it's okay because most people will not even think about that
