Yeah it's definitely in the editor. I don't know if it's implemented though. Although somebody's implemented it. So that's pretty awesome.

That required vehicles reconfiguration, this thing has nothing to do with compartments at all.
Since it's required full locomotion anim graph, characters technically not in compartment, just modded anim graph and my own seats system, with IK legs snap.
Still WIP, there is some desyncs...
So everyone became mini turrets? 😯

Interesting approach
one annoying thing about firing like this from a moving vehicle is how far away your bullet hits are apart between you and server
thankfully you can shoot full auto
Is that why it was so crappy in Arma 3?
I always thought it was just the disconnect between the moving vehicle and you trying to shoot with a mouse. It's not that hard being a door Gunner in real life.

But now I know how to evade animation curse.

I don’t think that would be be possible, cool yes, possible with this game I don’t think so, not even arma 3 had the ability for that I don’t think, I’m just happy to have this now because I’ll definitely have some hot extraction ops where troops in the back of humvees and pickups need to provide cover

you should make it pistols only in tight seats to actually give a use to pistols in the game
nah, if youre determined enough you could defo figure out how to use a rifle in a tight seat

ram has said not far up that he is still working on it. no reason to already ask for fixes and future updates when he hasnt even publicly mentioned that the mod is out and ready for use.

I found a weird bug.
Repro steps:

Jump into a HMMWV with doors in the Seatshoot position.

Go into game master and spawn an AI
-
Take control of said AI
-
Watch your character disappear
My character spawned in the middle of the ocean and took 30% health damage.

You kind of can. You break out the windshield and you can aim forward. But you sit too low so you can only aim at an upwards angle out the front. Would have to adjust the player position up some

Well, it's kinda work (Only for players, AIs not supported at all), but there is mem leak on engine side...
idk is there any workaround, or how long will it take to fix.
Also not compatible with RHS K17 and Dragger, until mem leak been fixed.
Does the Huey have a SFV seat?
So running Dragger alongside the drive by mod increases chances of mem leak?
It's crash your client when you try to drag, editing modded animgraph impossible so I just do full copy of vanilla graph, edit what I need and after all work remake it as modded in notepad++. (Best AR modding tool)
But before it's start working I don't want to remake it.
Bug: if you interact with a door while in the “gunner” seat it seems to break the animation/ability to shoot and then you cannot open or close a door after that.
Hello Ram, when someone load your mod before my mod that make the spawn entities bug in gamemaster, but if they load my mod before yours then everything is fine. Any way to fix that ?

If both mods are editing the main character animation graph then you're going to have to choose to run one of them at a time either way
Could a full edit of the anim graph work with the vanilla one? I’m trying to figure out a way to make a toggle-able animation separate from the vanilla animations. If you have the time I’d be happy to talk with you about it.
You can make anim graph modded, but it's possible only through notepad...
Anim graph has same properties as any prefab actually, with same inheritance rules.

In .aw change "{DFFC0A34A77ADCB4}anims/workspaces/player/player_main.agr" to your .agr copy.
And in .agr change "{420DAA79A16FCF22}anims/workspaces/player/Locomotion.agf" to your .agf.
Open aw in editor, do what you need and after, manually copy changes (And only changes) to dedicate Locomotion (With same name and path)

It's been renamed through reuploading, since renaming is always painfully.
First mod doesn't even mean to be used in game, only for tests.

People some time stuck in falling, but you still can exit vehicle.
Touching door "disarm" you, but you still can exit vehicle.
Dying on seat looks bud, cuz of how hierarchy synchronization work in game.
Ah also switching from vanilla compartment while moving can kill you.
I don't think this can even be fixed, for some reason I can't reattach entity for few frames after exiting compartment.
i say we should convince BI to make this a thing in A4
Right now you can toy with it, but fixing this issues is painfully and slow, I don't really know how many time it takes to fix it :(

Probably no
As Ram said, it wont be compatible with dragger or rhs k17, until mem leak is fixed and custom part of graph is finalized
After that he should be able to change graph from being fully custom, to an override of vanilla
It takes some time to manually re aplly all changes via notepad bcz tools refuse to display override properly

Hey, i tried to find my way to understand the licences of RHS but i still not 100% sure of what i can do, i want to make my animation mod compatible with RHS, i saw that on the FAQ of RHS statu quo they say that :
"6. Are you going to fix incompatibilities with the mod XXX?
Our mod provides mainly new content, and a few features that only affect our content. So there's nothing in our end that creates incompatibilities with other mods.
So unfortunately there's nothing we can do in our end, it's up to other mod teams to add/extend their features to our content."
Does that mean i can lunch my mod with the RHS addon in the workbench and override their weapons prefabs to edit the animations instances ?
I looked at the Licences and it seems like its possible but i'm not 100% sure, i don't know if i have to ask someone to do that ?
I didn't founded the RHS discord or someone who could give me the answer

@earnest forum can we confirm that memory leak is now fixed? Just looking for guidance as to whether memory leak means 'do not use as will degrade performance over time', or just 'is broken but won't degrade performance'
'do not use as will degrade performance over time' and some still didn't fixed problems, cuz it anyway kill your server via memleak.
