Does the mod work with the "BTR-80" one?
As it stands, no. The mod is an extension of the vanilla BTR-70 mod. If there is a GOOD btr-80 mod out there that is high enough quality and popular enough to even warrant spending time on, then I might do it. No promises.

After discussion with others, there might be a change of the Mountable BTR mod becoming an override mod rather than its own prefab, thus allowing for any mods that inherited from the Base BTR70 form vanilla to have access to the seating arrangements as well.
Why are there bushes on the BTR
Bushes are the usual way for concealment on a vehicle

G's Mountable BTR-70
(2.0.0+ Update!) The mod is an override mod now of the BTR70_Base prefab. This override mod adds hull-mountable seats to the top of the vanilla BTR-70 hull. It should be compatible with any existing BTR mods, im happy to say, even the BTR-80A mod :). This mod is my take on the seating arrangments that I personally would want on vehicles in Arma Reforger. If troops can mount on top of BTRs all around the world IRL, then so should we in Reforger. This addon is the first of many vehicles (vanilla and modded) that I will modify with additional seating arrangments to my heart's content (within realistic bounds, of course, we wont be having 250+ troops ride on top of a normal armored vehicle).

you have to look at the spots on the hull of the btr where the seatings spots are

G's Fix Vehicle Interior Sounds
New mod! This mod will be continuously updated with new vehicle overrides that I deem to have too muffled of a vehicle interior and little to no ability to be able to hear other players talk.

yep, current version of the mod makes the base prefab override disapear from existence, making all other btrs dissapear

You don't have to make everything from scratch. You can open your prefab in text view, find SRC_BaseComponent... and delete all its lines. Before this, do not open the old prefab in the engine.

it has an entirely different hull
it looks more like a BMP-1/2 hull with wheels instead of tracks
could probably add sloped armor over the front of the BTR-70 front to make it look the same

YES
its on the more modern btr chassis. there is way more than just the ufp, and overall size. i recommend not editing the hull at all. tactical flava is working on a BTR 82 that has the same hull. once that is released, just use it instead.

btw you usuauly only have to remove the _SA from the wheeledsimulation component in a text editor to fix that part

what i would do is go into the turret file with a text editor and remove the whole basecomparment mananger component and copy it somewhere else. then reimport the turret in game and manually redo the basecomparment manager in game
If the weapons dont appear its probably because that weaponanimation component got duplicated so just disable one

Seems that AI with the vehicle is something I have not looked at, will have to dig around in the AI components of the vehicle
It’s probably the vehicleanmiation component causes the crashes
The old empty.agf file setup doesn’t work anymore . I used the btr70s agf and empty asi
That issue somehow makes it so that it won’t crash in the workbench but in game it will crash when getting Into the vic

these are the default values of the pre-1.2 bmp
i agree it do feels and drive slower when it first came out
the guys in the game were talking about it we had t-72s and the other bmps pass it while the bmp 1 was still slowly coming
For instance before the crash it drove a lil fast but now it always drive like your going up a hill

i fixed the shifting issue last night with an update, so the character automatically shifts gears at the right rpm

the component for rpm values of when the player automatically shifts the gears for you was not configured at the time

There is a map on the workshop called Mazaevo, and it has no scenarios on it.
Would you know how to make a GM scenario for that?
Im not too well knowledged on that, im sure you can ask around and look up tutorials online no problem!
there are biwiki links that tell you how to do this, presumably under terrain creation. if you have a pc and want it done badly, you should do it yourself 🙂

I might give it a shot, i've done modding in arma 3 making maps and stuff i just haven't dipped into Reforger in that section yet.
Honestly i've been thinking about putting the BTR-4 in reforger i just need a good suited model.
never modded a3 but i can tell you reforger workbench is 10x easier
i would hope so. arma 3 made me lose my sanity countless times
Wouldnt even tell me where it went wrong, it just wouldnt work.
I made a firearms pack for my server along with that some vehicles, First try? none of them loaded gave me a lua error that basically said in short "Hi yeah not working sorry :((" so i had to go back and figure out why the game couldnt recognise it to figure i forgot to put a . between some lines
As for reforger it looks like i can preview the content alongside what i'm modifying which would be nice instead of just typing some coord locations and hoping the turret is in the right spot

Hey with the MI-8 any reason why its now forcing mouse control with the mod? It really sucks.
Thanks for reaching out. I'll have a fix in later today to remove that. Mouse control for flying is something that can be enabled in the user's game settings, it was enabled originally in the mod just to help with testing with how I fly the aircraft myself, but i didn't turn it off before publishing
yo dude, saw your mi8 mod was updated, is it any less acrobatic than earlier versions? (big fan of the cruising altitude barrel rolls btw)
Why does the mi8 feel horrible? Its so twitchy, spins out of control at the start, collective down is delayed?
Mi-8 1.1.5 update: Inertia values were altered to better represent roll and pitch speed seen from videos in DCS and IRL air shows

spinning out of control at start: dont pull the collective up when the aircraft is spooling up, better yet, push the collective down. spool up time is 60 seconds
collective down: max safe downward descent is around 3 m/s, but I made it a bit faster more so 8 m/s i think. Vanilla flightmodels make it like 20 or such? Take a look at Vortex Ring State online

Is there anyway you can do two BTR-90 mods? one that reverts back to the previous version without the WZ dependency? cause that was RHS +1mb total and this ones an extra 134mb now. I'm not going to be able to get any RHS servers to add it anymore
