First, I recommend you start from scratch with all default components. Get those working the way you want. Then add in any mods you want(Which I highly recommend against). Then make any overrides or duplications of any system files.

Test at every step. And if it crashes back up one step, and figure out what went wrong. You are now in the realm of modify files so it could be one thing, or many things. No telling now.
