does it actually target inbound projectiles, or is it just a turret?

Testing on singleplayer gm. No other mods. It doesn't seem to track helis.
it either shoots one direction or it almost seems to lead the heli but way too much

Place in GM and it auto targets based on faction and editable properties for height and range.
But seems to be having issues tracking properly rn. For me at least

interesting... might be an ai issue ig. still pretty cool nonetheless. I've been working on a turret cram but it frankly looks pretty bad and barely works lol
AI doesnt work in turrets tbh so if this uses an AI character then it will not work

Just updated and tried it. Still doesn't target the helicopter. Shoots a single direction until I get closer, then starts rotating but not actually shooting at the helicopter

Hey, @sullen lily ! Loving the mod so far, and canāt wait to see this fully fleshed out, but I wanted to let you know that @dense rampart said it has heavy issues properly tracking a target, as in it will accurately turn both horizontally and vertically, but it aims too far to the left/right, but will still attempt to follow the player, vehicle, or AI, just in that excess tracking state. I think I may have also encountered a heavy bug. I had a vehicle placed about 200m away from the C-ram so it was targeting it, I moved it somewhere else in GM & the C-ram turned to shoot it & my game instantly crashed

the tracking is fine
you have to orientate it in gm mode properly. so that it actually faces the thing its trying to shoot, once you do that the tracking will work

you kinda have to place it at an off angle
just keep placing it at different directions until it is lined up and destroys a test heli. after that its good to go for any incoming helis.

yeah get a crashlog and send it here. crashlogs contain useful info on why the server/game crashed. like what game component cause the issue so the maker of the mod can fix it

We also experienced local crashing (server was fine) with the C-RAM. Attached the crash logs.
For us it would pretty much happen after it fired for sometime and then tried to re-engage a new target. If you were somewhat close to the C-RAM (even in GM) it would crash you out.

That is more so up to the dev, so they can chime in on what they would prefer to see. Granted the console file will contain everything the server ever did, loaded etc.. Its often times not very useful unless you are looking for a specific event sequence that led to the crash. With that said, the error log is a better bet.
Though it seems like we are getting the same/similar errors.

What if you used bgones tracking and made it so you can get on a computer and select a target and the cram will track said target until itās unselected or out of sight?

Few months ago, nobody wouldve thought that a mod like BGONE or the CWIS would exist and before RiverXās Javelin (RIP), Guided Munition was not possible in any capacity
Just because it is not on the workshop as of right now or just because it sounds complicated even in a simplified explanation does not mean itās impossible nor does it warrant the right to be condescending with no reason

@jovial grail you need to calibrate them, put a helicopter into hover, then in GM rotate the gun until it hits the Heli and destroys it, then it will correctly track after that

no i finished the new model and nao and i are just waiting for adam to reupload the new version of the a10 so we can get the flight physics where they should be.
