Introducing the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. This mod currently only encompasses the M2A2 IFV, but will eventually include the BUSK variant, BFiST variant, M2A3, and others. The Vehicle seats 3 crew and 6 passengers, is armed with a 25mm Bushmaster chaingun, and a 7.62 M240C. The mod in it's current form is missing some key components that are likely a ways off, mainly commanders targeting computer, TOW II missile system, and working pariscopes.

If reporting issues, please post a current log along with your issue. It makes trouble shooting much easier.

The Slot type being set to large only i think will make it not work with default vehicle depots as they have medium spawner slots (I may be wrong but i couldnt spawn them until i changed the slot to medium) in conflict

Yeah I tested in conflict real quick and would like if someone else could test but the vehicle does not move if spawned in via GM and it is blocked from vehicle depot due to the Slot size being Large in the entity catalog, It would work if the Depot had a large slot but it does not, or someone would have to add one

Just so everyone that keeps pm'ing me about the Bradley being destroyed from 1 rpg understands, this is the older M2A2 variant. It is not the BUSK, it is not the A3. It does not have active RPG protection. It can and will be able to be destroyed from a single rpg. It can and will bounce rpg rounds off the frontal armor, depending on angle and location. There will be some tweaks with the next update to the damage model, but rest assured, it will still be able to be taken out by RPG. It is an aluminum IFV, not a tank.

Yes. As long as you don't spawn the OD variant, it's fine. It didn't inherit correctly when I updated the base, so it has the old lights. I've fixed it, but not pushed the update yet. Waiting on some other improvements.

Bradley uses 5083 Aluminum Armor Plate. The M2A2 added additional spaced plates on the sides. With the reactive armor it will be protected from RPG7 fire to a point.

Hmm, tbh loving the Bradly so, I actually wasn't aware of the Bradly going on fire after one RPG shot so, news to me but overall love this beast, if it goes on fire, pull back, dismount and put out the fire and repair damage. Its just what you gotts do for the moment

It’s on my DarkGru servers so likely just a bug your experiencing and or an error in the JSON, I would recommend making sure your JSON is valid first. Would google curious concepts JSON validator and paste your file in there and double check your mod id for the Bradley as well

The Bradley still cannot reload the 25mm Bushmaster Chain gun. It happens consistently every time we try to reload the Bradley it refuses to fire afterwards even with a fresh magazine of ammo. Sometimes a single round will be able to be fire but other then that the gun no longer fires after the first magazine is fired. If you try to reload even if you still have ammo the same problem still occurs.

I know this has been brought up before but I haven’t seen it addressed yet and it’s a problem that I’m hoping can be solved easily.

I've noticed it will be fine sometimes and break other times. especially in multi-player and with other mods.
Seems to usually fire the first 2 tows perfectly fine then the tows break on reload. Other times it won't fire at all.
and I usually don't have an issue with the main gun then it'll randomly break.
So I'm guessing it might be a weird mod conflict

If you are doing gm and are taking control of an ai you must control the ai and enter the gunner seat. It will not work if you control the ai out of the gunner seat.

Um so something I've noticed is that the RHS RPGs will one tap the Bradley regardless of where they are hit, I didn't know weather you were aware of that or not

It's not really that it's just the damage from vanilla RPGs and RHS RPG against the Bradley is insane vanilla it takes 6 to set a flame the Bradley and one RHS to kill all crew inside and set alight, was just bringing this to attention.

Reason I asked is cause there are a few glitches that I wanted you to know about if not known already,
This includes;

tow missile not working properly after 1st shot

The ammo boxes or ammo storages for the weapons have pushed outside the chassis mesh

Supplies inside the bradley, when not on base game everon cause the Bradley to faze through the map

There is also a glitch that when destroyed the body can still be used and gunned but the tracks and engine are still on fire but the occupant won't die.

I've already fixed the ammo storage sticking out. That fix will be in the update with the BUSK and armor update. No timeline on that. No idea why the supplies would only work with base everon. First report I've seen of that. I'll look into it.

Adding markings/decals to the bradley is not an issue. I have no issue with people making mods with the Bradley as a dependency.

Hello! I recently had a look at this mod, and it seems there is still a ton of room for optimization on the polycount side.
Even if you want to keep LOD0 at 175k triangles, I would suggest a much more aggressive dropoff, say at least to 30k with LOD2.
I would also strongly recommend to heavily decrease the amount of triangles of the final LOD - currently, you're still at almost 10k, when the target should be 3 digit number at most.

Hey, I’ve noticed that the bradley causes client frame drops in my server. Looking at it when it has been turned on, moved or interacted with causes this issue. 50/50 chance it happens.

Is this a known issue?

Also, I know the “target audience” was for player use and not AI, but AI seem confused about using the Bradley’s gun. They’ll switch to the rockets and fire them (when armor is present), but then they’ll sit and stare afterward

Yeah Our main focus for both was just to get them working again which worked out, so bug fixes I guess is something else we will work on later on. It's already been a huge headache as is to get them where they are now

That has been a long running issue

I believe it happens because of a bug when the engine and the hull of the Bradley get destroyed separately causing it to crash the server. I found that it can be fixed by properly editing the health of the engine and hull so that they explode at the same time rather then one detonate separately from the other.

Not sure, both mods ran fine on my servers. The only possible crashing issues I know of are game crashes which is due to the vanilla game update's memory leak issue which any mod that adds alot of graphically rendered assets brings the chances of it happening higher. Which RHS is a huge issue currently due to how much stuff they add which is out of their hands.
