one of the 2nd ranger servers has plate armor. although that mods solution is that the Vest goes into the webbing slot, and sapi plates are put into the vest slot.

tho in theory depending on the armor type that (specific armor 6b45) should be a mix of both soft and plate armor so even without plates it would still be capable of stopping shrapnel, and maybe pistol rounds.

and with the plates worn the rest of the areas will provide the aforementioned protection

Is armor plate supposed to stop or decrease bullet damage?
