we use the system from Arma 3 - unfortunately its not too robust. especially in MP :/

basically you need to drive next to the ammo truck, be commander/highest ranking crew, and use the action menu to activate the rearm action

at times it also automatically does it when you are next to it

#

can be quite hit and miss, and need to get very close

yeah, I might not have been close enough, the only action menu I got was for direct support which only popped up if the engine was off, but I was slotted as the commander, so I might just have to play with it, thank you for the clarification 😁
