The Enfusion lighting has been mostly amazing however there are a few issues outside of general glitches
1.) flashlights can barely be seen even indoors during the day despite being turned on in shaded areas
2.) 0.9.8 seemingly dimmed all lighting making even high beams completely useless at any light level
3.) while caves are cool, it seems a “shadow object” is used to make them dark during the day, however flashlights do not work in these at all during the day making them impossible to explore until the sun sets

Not necessarily lighting but a little improvement that could be made is adding a height limit for rain to be seen as it currently is visible above the storm clouds
Hey all I have an observation and question regarding a lighting aberration. Just to add to Crinkes' post above.
Observed:
In the screenshots the sun lies behind the distant hill that the trees sit upon.
The sun itself and the light it creates appear to be correctly masked by terrain that block it's path and it creates appropriate shadows.
However 'reflective' textures such as water surfaces (above and below) and wet materials, in this case sand, reflect the shine of the sun despite the sun being masked by the terrain.
This feels like unintended behaviour no?
Is this something that will be addressed in future iterations of the Enfusion engine or is this going to prove a limitation?
- Just to be clear in the underwater screenshot I believe the 'sun' we see is actually the reflection of the sun on the underside of the water surface texture.
