@cobalt ginkgo Uploading multiple crash reports might help. You could try if it also happens on dev branch. If so post Link to issue tracker in #dev_rc_branch to get more attention
there are 3 latest crashes inside the report, I dont play the game much just testing the mods/functionality, maybe I will if when it happens again

as I said before, a few hours ago they released a security patch which changed the game version from 1.72 to 1.74, because of that until the servers are updated no-one can get online. It's also early morning in on a weekday Europe and the middle of the night in the US, so not many people are going to be playing right now anyway

just jumped into the server browser and while a few servers have been updated, most are still running 1.72 (or older)
bizarrely there are even servers running versions as old as 1.60

From personal experience, my locally hosted server (also 100 down, 10 up, dedicated) seem to experience problems at +10 players.
Well from what I remember it's about 0.5 Mb/s / player? but that's not gonna cause BSOD anyway.

complete system lockups suggest something low level, generally indicating a problem at kernel or hardware. They can be triggered by userspace applications but the actual root problem lies elsewhere

Exception code: C0000094 INT_DIVIDE_BY_ZERO at 02143A2C < this was likely caused by incompatibility of MSI Afterburner with latest system updates, yesterday I had a popup saying that RTSS ( Riva Tuner Statistics Server 6 ) was not compatible with this version of windows, message came from windows not the application, so I shut it down and search for update... no new stable available but there is 4.4.0 beta 12 with RTSS 7.0 and it works - no more system warning about incompatibility, and Arma isnt crashing anymore so far, must test more to be sure and update the ticket

i use some old laptop drives for my games and have the system + Arma on a SSD. can't really tell the difference between performance HDD and SSD but in my case it was big

my guess is that makepbo did not install correctly. it is detected via the registry.

I'm having some issue with Arma where it's zoomed in like fuck. Already tried using a FOV changer but no luck. Also when I'm in full auto mode and shoot once I release the mouse it keeps shooting.
Sounds like something is wrong with your mouse
Mouse works fine on everything else. I can shoot fine in other games with full auto weapons and I don't zoom in like that in Day-Z.

Also to note: The error shown there 'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/CG_ATF_Handcuffs.minHeight' has been ruled out as the cause of the issue.
It's a config error in a mod, the pack has been loaded without it, and with the error non-present, with the same results.
Load another mission file, if it then happens again, reinstall the server package
If it then happens again, you have a special special server machine

I'm trying to clean up other people's work, but it seems it's way too far gone to "clean" - rather a re-make entirely would be easier in almost all aspects.

This does not happen on my other dedicated server. My dedicated server runs altislife. And the one I am experiencing the issue with is a lakeside server (pretty heavily modded)

@west eagle do you have a certain filter in which is too restricted to find any servers? Ie any server with 10 ms ping
@grim island maybe a mod with an a3 structures dependency i have no clue either. I would strip it down to one mod if you can to see the root of the issue

Hosted on your own pc, on a panel from a company, or again, some sort of server of your own? If it is one of your own, what OS? Windows Server, Linux, I don't think I need to mention MacOS Server.....

Also not seeing Servers in the Serverbrowser means the connection to the master server is the problem. Which is not 2302-2305 UDP.

@worthy jackal I've just did a small test and never received that result. Numbers remained equal, even with larger numbers, so something is up with the vars, check them in the watch fields.

Once, yeah. Plugging in joystick and it shows up right away, changing usb port for the camera had one of its drivers fail to install, though OpenTrack still works with it. Rebooting again.
Rebooting seems to have corrected the driver, but no dice on restoring controller function.
No luck with installing latest build of Opentrack.
Well, I don't have any experience with Opentrack, sorry. Hopefully someone else can help

Hey Everyone! I seem to have a problem finding my server in the server browser.
When i try to use the direct connect in the server browser, no server pops up, HOWEVER! If i connect to the dedicated machine via remote desktop OR connect to the teamspeak hosted on the dedicated server, then it pops up in the server browser? Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

portforward + firewall on gateway and firewall on server machine

How come every time I start searching for server with the official launcher, I can't use my internet for anything else? Even after the search is complete I still can't open web pages, steam doesn't connect. And I can never do a second search, at that point my internet is dead
I have to shut down Steam and wait a bit to fix it

try lowering the "max pings / minute" value in steam settings
It is either the internet provider or your modem limiting the amount of connections.
Hello. Does anyone know any efficient way of dealing with "Client/Server: Object not found" errors in rpt? From what I found out they are related to deleteVehicle, createVehicle and they are quite harmless but I get so many of them that my rpt files became useless for its actual purpose.

@golden forum i believe I did read that the message is related to execute delete commands on objects which are not local to the machine which deletes it.
A possible way could be to delete those objects where they are local currently. But I never tested such workaround

No. Just try to use every deleteVehicle command where the object is local. Use remoteExec for this
The much easier solution for your purpose is a took which filters our all unnecessary stuff from RPT file. Just google for it, it exists for sure

Having an issue with ArmA where it's not being able to read a certain bit of memory and this is crashing whenever I play Exile. I've already spoken with trouble shooters on the exile server and they said it's an ArmA issue. I have a picture of the error but can't send it here
You can send links to pictures here. But that won't help us. A access violation crash could literally be a crash anywhere. Doesn't have to be in Arma.

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me with my Arma 3. I've been having issues recently in trying to join my group's server. Every time I try to join I get a "Connecting Failed" error. In checking the .rpt it shows that is "unable to get DLC data"

I've been playing with this group for 4 years and this has never happened before. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that has not fixed it. As well, I have been able to join other servers without issues with mdos
What DLC assets are in use for the mission?
When you reinstalled arma, did you delete the (possibly) remaining folders atall?
the report also shows that under DLC's "Arma 3 Tools" "Arma 3 Server" and "Arma 3 Samples" are all installed and owned but no available

Have you tried verifying the integrity of your game cache? Have you altered any parameters?

Hi, is it confirmed a bug that bombs always hit, when you just lock the target with R or is this working as intended? It takes the skill away of dropping bombs well and also the teamplay of having people mark the target for you (or doing it yourself, if the laser is activated).
where have you seen that an LGB will always hit its target?
When I lock a tank with my Neo or new jet, I only have to drop the bomb sort of close and it will guide its way to the tank.
The tank can counter this by moving or using smokes.

though I admit that even if the lock is not fully locked, it is still very comprehensive and will hit very close or spot-on
I've downloaded a dozen maps for arma 3, ones with good reviews in the steam workshop. On 3 of these maps if i open then and scroll a few seconds i get memory access violation and crash. Is there some known problem?
I mean this is a bad example, but here I only lock with r and it hits dead on and I can do that from any range without much difficulty. It was harder to kill tanks before.

ive had a dog system for years with no issue only in the last say 4 months has this started to happen
my guess is that its some kind of cleanup system to stop land animals going swimming but i cant find any logic in deleating animals that are attached to vehicles or on objects above water such as bridges or in the hold of a boat. i kinda feel BIS tried to fix the land swimming fishs but set the dection in reverse as fish can still swim on land near beachs
I would say that is a pretty solid assumption. Having tuna swim on land was a bit odd lol

I have a question regarding HC's: I've been running them successfully for about 3 years now but today I ran into an issue I've never seen before. I just migrated my server from Windows 8 to Windows Server 2012 and in testing my Arma missions, I keep running into an issue where once the mission starts, even while in the middle of still doing some script stuff, each headless clent's RPT file reports several "Creation of x ignored, state GAME FINISHED" and then it just completely stops. No CPU usage, nothing. It just sits there. I have no idea what's causing this. It worked day before yesterday prior to the migration.
Disregard. Having Steam client loaded in on the server caused it. I'm guessing disallowance of multiple instances with the same Steam ID attempting to log into the server.

Has anyone been having memory leak issues within the zeus game mode since the "Laws of War DLC" launched? That's the only major event I can tie this new trend to, as its just started recently.
It has happened to myself and two others I know, all of us under the same circumstances, so it is repeatable. The leaks seem to occur when we are slotted as zeus and open the map when in a game. I believe this is the triggering event. It happened multiple times when I was zeusing on my dedicated server, and it occured to another guy repeatedly when he took my zeus slot. It also happened when another player was acting as zeus off of the server, while he was hosting his own server off of his machine. It is kind of game breaking considering the map is very useful in Zeus. Anyone know of any causes/fixes for this issue?
I am trying to keep the stance indicator/fire select/stamina bar permanently displayed via server side profile, but for some reason its not working. I run ace on the server, and have both stance/weapon info set to 2. Does anyone have a solution, it keeps fading in game.
No idea, but perhaps try verifying integrity of the game cache through steam?

Hi, is anybody else getting "Couldn't init DXGI" crashes (while ingame, I don't mean unability to start the game) when performing certain actions? (such as spawning a lot of objects/units via Zeus). I had the problem 2-3 times yesterday, will try to replicate it to find the exact circumstances that trigger it.

Same happening here when using an admin tool mod on dedicated server, zeus module created, open zeus interface and then map view. Instant crash to desktop. Costno from Folk Arps says its happening to them as well with F3 framework's zeus. Its definately broken since LoW official release because its been working previously.

So I am getting an issue with weapons continuing to fire while players are reloading. It doesnt occur on their screen however on other peoples screens the gun is still going off and they can hear the gun going off. I am not sure if it is a Laws of war DLC error as I only noticed it after the update. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this error.
Another thing is that their rate of fire does not match what other players see, so for example they are shooting in fully automatic on their screen but then on everyone else's screen they are shooting in semi automatic and then they continue to shoot while playing through the reload animation.
For those of you who have had Zeus crash when opening your maps, can you recall if you personally, or any other Zeuses had recently deleted any units before the crash? I've ran a bunch of tests, both on Zeus templates we run on our server as well as a quick map with only 1 unit for Zeus, both with all our mods and even without any mods loaded and it seems the crash has pretty much only ever occurred if I deleted something then opened the map.
It's happened with empty choppers, choppers with the crew, crewed assault boats, and squads. If I placed any of them and deleted them, the next map opening causes a crash. If I placed down a single individual person and deleted him, it doesn't crash but if I place down a second person afterwards, delete him then open the map, it'll crash.
@dusk saddle Ive had the crash happen on fresh restarts of the server and with nothing placed down and simply having the map open for 2-3 minutes results in a crash.

A few hours ago I read a Feedback tracker report. Of a guy loading a hundred Mods.. Some over a year old. Others clearly incompatible with eachother such as CUP Terrains and A3MP.. And then he was complaining that his Arma was so crashy
We don't have quite that many mods, but I've been working on removing redundancies over the past few days and chose to update everything to 64-bit. Wasn't an issue before because we have some in-house mods made by unit developers that were 32-bit only.
Now all those are up to date, so I figured I would find what the incompatibility was.

@Rorkiy#2856 I'm guessing your Zeus template does not dynamically create zeus, where as I was creating Zeus dynamically an insta crashed once in map view. There were no other zeuses created or edits done with zeus prior to crash.
I was actually going to mention STUI, but "thought better of it" as the problem was solved "ages" ago.
Yeah, our templates just have a preset number of 4 Zeus slots that can be entered and they're always there regardless of whether they're used or not
so how many people cannot even load the game since the laws of war dlc i just reverted back to 1.73 and it loaded but when i do the upate it crashes on loading player profile tell it to end but all it does is go into the background task and wont go unless i reset pc tried full uninstal along with removed anything arma 3 related.

Can confirm Zeus is crashing after LoW release, 3 different Zeus' in my group have gone from not crashing at all or only 1 or 2 times during a mission, to crashing upwards of 10-15 times over a 3-4 hour mission. PS its not just in Zeus map screen, no pattern to it that we can see yet.

a hang is not really a crash.
Arma should still detect a hang and still create a dump.
If it hang's its not the same bug as everyone else has.

Useless information. The exception code itself doesn't say anything useful besides "Arma crashed". And it is also included along with much more useful information in the .mdmp and .rpt files which you included anyway.

hi guys, i have a problem just wondering if its common or others are getting it, and if theres a fix. so my problem is that when i put strain on a server I host, the weapons bug out, when shooting fully auto, the gun starts a semi auto sound/animation and slowly increases fire rate, if reloaded before the game has caught up, the gun will shoot while reloading. its fair enough that its because i put strain on the server, but it never happened before the recent big update adding the new dlc, even when strain was applied.

@gritty crypt I actually just built my own dedicated server from an old box I had lying around. Can you explain the differences and pros/cons briefly? If neccessary, over DM if it's not welcome in this chat. I allowed the x64ArmaServer.exe through my firewall, per instructions, but I don't really know what I did.
x64 runs better, that's all there really is to it.
Launch your server using the x64 exe instead of the regular one.

when i try to join a server from the launcher it stucks at the arma apex screen when i press escape bouton it come to arma main screen, then i try to join a server from the game it tells me connecting failed

@late zealot are you running tadst off of a arma 3 server tool installation or a client arma 3 installation?
If you are running the tools version of the arma 3 server, then you need to close steam whilst running the server

Oh okay. I would also double check that steamapp_id.txt file to ensure it's correct it you have any further problens. Had that happen to me a few times

Subscribing/Unsubscribing can occasionally be finicky. There is an option to clear download cache (or similar(I'm on my way to work so don't have PC access) within Steam. iirc, its VIEW->SETTINGS->DOWNLOADS->CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE. Once you've unsubscribed, clear the cache, shut down Steam completely (may as well restart your PC for giggles) then check to see if it's still on your machine. If it is not, then re-subscribe. An issue I once had is that I was using an older "local" copy and not the Steam linked version I though I was. I had run low on HDD space and moved stuff to another drive.
I suggest only clearing the cache if you don't have many workshop subscriptions. I foolishly did that once and soon learned redownloading 100gbs was very, very, boring
Clearing the cache doesn't delete subscribed content, it only flushes the cache of previously downloaded content that is no longer subscribed. At least in my exp anyways.

What happens occasionally is that people unsubscribe from a mod, then attempt to re-download it and Steam says "don't bother, I have a copy right here".
hey guys during a few plays this month I've noticed that sometimes after going full-auto a player keeps 'firing' (semi auto fire, increasing frequency) even though he's doing completely other things such as ACE3 medic-ing people up. Any clue what might cause this? We've not noticed any network issues that I can think of

It's a shame if it was, as I assumed 64bit was intended to improve ability to handle more assets / effects going on at the same time.

something has to render and simulate those particles

For me it looks more like the old particles are stuck in the memory and removed only when the simulation notices theyre not supposed to be there anymore.
at the end where you look at the smoke a bit longer it does not get so thick it is when you look away and look back

Yes, as a habit I always varify game cache after an update. Some times someone will set a charge and then a few seconds later everyone hears the beep.

So i have a bit of a weird internet connection, the provider is messing with things i'm not fully aware of (don't ask). Whenever my connection shuts down briefly and i have to re-connect to an arma server, i get "connecting failed" and it takes 10-15 minutes until i can reconnect, sometimes a bit longer. Anyone knows what could be the reason for that? It is server independent, even happens on my own server. I can connect to other arma servers immediately, just not the one i was on previously.
Maybe it helps if i mention that programs like teamspeak fail to reconnect, too until i restart the program, then it works immediately.
This solution seems to work, but it is quite the hassle. Maybe there is an easier way and this provides a clue to what goes wrong?
You could ask the ISP what they are "messing" with, so we get a bit more info :)
I tried that, i called support a dozen times but they just wall and give out zero info. They claim they're doing nothing at all.
Sounds like your blacklisted somewhere, to littlle info though to figure out what your issue is, what do you mean your isp is meesing with things, like what exactly?
Any known causes for player invincibility in ArmA? It's a reoccurring issue lately, and we do use mods. If I had to be suspect of any one mod, id assume ACE is causing it. It breaks immersion in missions when players can take a shot to the head and be just fine. For some reason, as Zeus I can still kill them, and they can die from random shit like a car explosion, but bullets have no effect.

@quaint shadow ok, so it might actually not be from the ISP's side, since they at least claim to do nothing. Are you on a Wi-Fi or using a cable? How often do you get disconnected from internet in a day?
@last acorn it is a wlan hotspot kind of deal. it disconnects every 4 hours exactly for reasons the infrastructure was created by a foreign country firm that went out of business and had a cooperation deal with a local provider so the local provider is "heh we might sell you the access but we don't run that particular infrastructure". And i'm certain they're messing with the connection, they somehow mess with DNS requests, they intercept http pages (not https) to show their landing page, and VPN is throttled
I might add that the issue i have is strictly linked to their 4hr disconnect while playing on arma servers, and does not happen on other connections i use (expensive 3G)
@reef plinth Pretty sure you can change the settings of ACE to allow killshots, so if shot to the limb they may drop unconscious but if hit by a .50 or to the head they'll die

@thin crest i suggest you to try #perf_prof_branch new performance binary from profiling branch (as it contain quite a lot of crash fixes since 1.76.main stable)
@quaint shadow to make sure it's not something wrong with the equipment try using a cable instead of the wlan, just to see if you still disconnect. You can also check for updates to the firmware for router or even use a 3rd party firmware if available.
Lastly if you still have issues run a program like pingplotter over night so you can tell exactly where the disconnect happens, save the report as it is good info for the ISP and usually something they will ask you to do when they run out of ideas.
@last acorn It will be a bit difficult to lay a cable out 600 meters to the hotspot, also i might have to cut open the stainless steel housing of the outdoor unit with an angle grinder but i'll try.
I don't need a pingplot, the disconnect is exactly every 4 hours and thats intentional from the ISPs side. They state that on the hotspot landing page.
ah ok, then there is no fix for the root issue unfortunately. but try to disable your network adapter and enable it again when it happens, maybe you will be able to reconnect again after that. if it works you could make a .bat file and use the "netsh interface" to disable / enable quicker.
