Hi! Unfortunately it's rather uncommon someone from the community will hop on a call. It's a big investment of potential time & responsibility and not everyone may be comfortable speaking directly; that's more of a thing with enterprise-grade support, where professional credibility (as well as compensation) are on the table.

Though it's indeed the case that starting with 0.14.0, additional validation is done on URLs. This is by design: #7049
