Don't know if there are anyone working on MathML support (I'd like to help!) but anyway I modified Typst a bit to output this MathML

I think MathML is planned for html export, but idk if anyone else is currently working on it

I had previously tried to write a simple converter https://github.com/wcshds/typst-math-to-mathml-converter, but ultimately gave up. I'm waiting for official support for MathML from Typst.

Does that only rely on the MathML Core specification?

There was some prior progress here, but it was decided that a reimplementation would be needed: https://github.com/typst/typst/pull/5721
