#Auto-updating .bib file

well you could do some magic with redo
that would be a lot more work compared to just repeatedly re-uploading the file?
Would be a great feature if we could just submit the API key of Zotero to typst and then have it update automatically
or even entr and/or the usual make
Ah ye, you're not working locally, mb
How does that work? It'd be a completely different interface to the web version?
Well, I usually use either vscode with the associated typst extension, or Vim, which has a typst plugin too
and you find those to be superior to the current web version?
I'm no dev so my experience w these things is limited and it'd prob take me some time to set it all up properly and I've already spent too much time on fiddling around w getting different tools to work just right for me as it is. So if the improvement is rather minimal then I shouldn't switch to the Vim/vscode version
If you're not familiar with them, the benefits will be quite minor, aside from the usual benefits of offline tools (available offline, no reliance on third parties, increased user freedom, etc)
Being a developer myself, it's much more convenient for me to use these, as they are my daily tools in my job. VScode is just a text editor with extra capabilities, but I believe it's trivial for anyone tech-savvy enough to care about typesetting languages such as Typst or Latex. The choice is entirely yours and must remain driven by your own needs in terms of practicality and efficiency
Thanks for the info! :)
For now I just marked the .bib file as a favorite and told windows i want to open them w Notepad. Now I just ctrl+e, double click on the file that's shown right there in the favorites list, ctrl+a, copy-paste into the existing file on typst (replacing the old data in there).
