There should be a consistent PvE way of doing the event. Let me get 25 per a mode completion please. This is just horrible. People are using chests to camp lighthouses. It's scummy and it's ruining the playerbase.

I think the idea of a PVP-focused event is good, but the execution here is baffling. Instead of encouraging teamwork or normal roaming PVP, it's actively encouraging some of the worst aspects of the game like sitting in port staring at the map waiting for some noob to try to get into a lighthouse. Teamwork is actively discouraged because having more people in one area means more competition for chests.

The chest shouldn't be broadcasted to the world. This is a obvious cash grab. Spend your coins to get 50 fish... The price per a leapord is absurd. Rate 3 garbage for 2100 coins

Grinding goldfish is what... if you saved the maps up you can go over 200 an hour with good spawns so 10 hours to get it still crazy. Over guess what two weeks. Garbage. Give us at least a month.
Finding chests they already nerfed the spawn rates from what I can see.

The rewards are inasnely good. Sure if you have FOMO thats your issue but getting eve if you don't pvp or just grab 1 chest per day you still get massive rewards. Lets say you get 1 chest per day thats still 15500 bm and a chest. The leo isn't even a vastly different ship to a poltava
But complaining that you can't get everything when restricting yourself because you dislike pvp (which is valid) seems odd. Especially since the last event was focused on happily working together

The solution is simple. Just make sure you don't drop it in the lighthouse within a certain range. If so, you won't be waiting in front of the port anymore.

I agree on some points: It shouldn't be possible to see the map (when the Amber Chests are being transported) in port.
That's Anti-Game, this camping.
(wait until they reach lighthouse, only to let the pirates out).
If not enabling the decoy flag as a direct measure - removing that which allows you to see moving chests while in port.

Yes the dislike getting ganked at the lighthouse. If you wanted honorable duels as a focus the event would have to be in the arena, and if you like fetch quests without anything else well you can go fishing or whaleing. Will you get a leo in that way maybe maybe not depends on your time investment. In general it is an event that even if you dislike the pvp mechanics still gets you pretty good rewards for nothing. The only issue is FOMO. And thats in my book a you issue.

This event was planned before all the hotfixes.
So pvp was supposed to be on in way more areas.
You can keep your carebear safe flags on and just do maps to get fish. Completely bipassing the amber chests.
