Chat moderation is lacking so bad right now in NA1, when Mod 3 is here, it's fine enough. Unfortunately, there's only ONE mod for NA1. This means that 3/4s of the day, chat is unmoderated besides blocking "sucks". NA1 has new players quitting because people are trash talking them so much, saying vulgar things, etc.

I personally don't care about the things people say, but I would like to see a playerbase eventually as I do enjoy the game. It's starting to become a ritual with what seems to be the same few people.

People talk about pedophilia in general chat, essentially without penalty. Not making jokes, not trying to be funny, just actual discussion of pedophilia.

People have the hard R as a gamer tag regularly, use hate speech and slurs in general chat by bypassing chat filters, or just straight up saying it because of scuffed chat filters, without repercussion.

People use hateful language, threats, argue for hours on end.
I’m all for “free speech”, I am okay with reasonable trash talk, but this is the most unmoderated, spiteful, hateful community I have ever seen in my 15 years of gaming, straight up worse the league of legends, and that’s a massive bar.

It is only 5-10% of the community that makes general chat an actual cesspool. Make a PVP chat with NO RULES, unmoderated, so the worst people can have a place to spew whatever edgy garbage that they can’t help but to say to the community, or start culling the community from a chat perspective.

I keep my chat off 90% of the time because it’s actually useless, this isn’t a gaming chat, it’s just a 4Chan POL thread in a boat game, and the game deserves better.

Your game becomes the community you foster, do better.

EU1 has the same problem. Seeing players with wildly racist names, chat without a filter. Some of them get 1 day bans at times but not often enough. I ignore general chat now entirely because of it, but it’s wild to me there isn’t a more stringent filter.

The whole chat system could use an overhaul. It is very basic and generally not used by anyone.

The 'local' chat is also global chat (cesspool) for some reason. This needs to be changed aswell.
