Word of warning when making a personal island dont have anything in your ships hold because when making the island it will make all of your ships hold vanish.

You most likely misplaced it or placed it in the other port. I've done it when I was newer

You could check the menu in the map to see all your resources and see if it got misplaced that way. It tells you where everything is.
