So let's say (theoretically of course) that I was in a situation where an on foot officer who was directing traffic tried to stop my vehicle. Let's say (theoretically of course) that I did
didn't stop and instead pulled into the middle lane and popped a u-turn. Assuming this officer got everything on body cam, all the officer has to do is report the situation pull the info about my license plate, and issue a warrant for arrest. That should be a pretty fast and straight forward process right? If this theoretical event took place nearly a month ago and the cop decided to follow up they should certainly be looking for me by now yes? Is it possible that the officer didn't want to do the paperwork or something? I understand that an "investigation" technically needs to take place, but under these circumstances it seems an investigation would be quick, easy, and done by now. I've been in contact with an attorney who checks with the county every week and nothing so for. Thoughts? Opinions? Anyone have experience with either side of this situation? Thank you!
