It sounds like you're doing everything in a pretty reasonable way. The only thing I would say is, if you publish the game, don't mention that any of the code is AI generated. A lot of game distribution services ban "AI games" outright, and many customers will immediately hate your game if you mention you used AI on it.
Other than that though, you're using ChatGPT in basically the best possible way. As a teacher and an assistant it's great, as long as you're not relying on it to write all the code for you with no way of handling issues yourself

I have been put in an anxiety for more than a week because i kept reading in the internet about how bad ai is and how they are againsn't it. it took a toll on me lol. i always try my best to keep a positive thinking about it like. its just a method of how i learn. because even without an chatgpt. usually i would just be mindlessly scrolling in Stackoverflow and getting a code. its basically
"Copy pasting the code from stackoverflow / forum / documentation / youtube" is the new "I've learned this in ChatGPT but with knowledge"
i just needed to learn and get used to all of the codes before i can start walking in my own feet without the relay on the ai tool. I always known ChatGPT as a Google more.
My game will mostly consist AI Generated codes only (if i can just code it my own ill do it instead). the rest would be more of a human touch (Music , arts , Backgrounds etc)

Don't know anything about game dev and posting on steam, but if you want help with the the gpt stuff you can PM me. It's not you, it's the system, and you have to understand the system not the 'code' for it to work, which is not obvious, and very frustrating to learn the way it is.
