We're going to need all kinds of better anti-bot technology. That passionate entry into the local poem contest, was it a local who wrote it? Did a local have a bot write it? Maybe it was someone an hour away who typed "apply to every free for-prize contest within reasonable driving distance, and every contest with a digital prize in the world". (A first mover could generate sufficient return to cover server costs, presumably.) How about that email from a reader who says they're your fan, eloquently summarizes the articles you've read, and asks about partnering up... I don't know why any of this [INCREDIBLE TECHNOLOGY I LOVE] is even public right now if these questions haven't been answered.

...oh jeez Zuck is right we're headed for the metaverse if we can afford it. Future You will still wanna eat out with friends or play football or ski, but après you'll wanna get your VR dopamine too. Not sure when we'll get the good AR tech, or a brain interface, or whatever, but I think OpenAI will accelerate all of it. Just can't say how fast.
