Basically, Perplexity has paused all ongoing subscriptions for users who haven’t updated their billing info.
Earlier, Perplexity didn’t require card details for the 1-year trial from third-party services, but now they do.

So when you click Get / Upgrade to Pro, you’ll see a screen asking for card details, even though the due amount shows $0.

You won’t be charged until your Revolut/Airtel/or any other 3rd party trial ends. After that, Perplexity will start charging based on the normal billing cycle from your card.

Yes, because I see that they've reduced the research component for Pro Now members.

But I would really like them to make a codex tool like the one for GPT.

I only use text. I don’t use video or image, which makes it even more crazy considering I assume those two features take a lot of processing power.

So Update: Apple refunded my perplexity pro 1 year plan I bought half a year ago based upon the one sided contractual changes by perplexity.

You need to contact the Apple support Manually, I did via iMessage. Then they checked my claim and refunded me. That’s probably the way to get perplexity to react - vote with your wallet. If to many refunds are issued, payment providers and AppStore’s will sever their connection with perplexity.

Perplexity.AI on TrustPilot.com went from 4 out of 5 to 1.5 out of 5. After the unannounced restrictions and changes to their pricing model, its totally understandable. Even Claude4.5 was shocked. I put my negative review in both TrustPilot.com and Google App Store and I think everyone here who is upset with what the Perplexity.AI team did to us in just a few days should do the same. They need to see that what they did was completely unethical and unacceptable. I am also looking into alternatives since they now want $167.00 a month for the same level of deep researches, upload file numbers and file retention that they gave for $20 a month just a little over a month ago! 😡

Did you try "Prompt-lib" or "ask-community"? Also have you just asked the AI model? Those are the top 3 things you should do before anything else. AI models are very good at giving instructions. Also "ask-community" is for asking for help.

Recently gemini 3 pro feels worse than 2.5
Starting from losing context even in a very small chat, to bringing in totally unrelated stuff from another chat in a twisted way…it hallucinates the simplest details. There is no clearly defined memory which I can see and manage.
It was amazing when it released but somewhere around the end of December to the beginning of January it started getting worse.
Chat continuity between devices is another issue. it acts different on different devices. And I am using Gemini Pro Subscription and still it does this…

Did Perplexity have two pro tiers before? I think in the February update they put all promo "Pro" users in the worse tier with no Reason mode, and basically no perks above the Free tier
