In my experience, Perplexity appears to be degrading its model quality. I find the original models superior based on my comparison. Incidentally, do you prefer the models integrated with Perplexity? If yes, what is the reason?

Perhaps you didn't read the reply i replied to u ealier, here's the full version of it:
U're getting it wrong, the one we’re having in pplx is also the very same model in Chatgpt or Claude, there isn’t different model.
The reason why u’re seeing different outcomes is because of pplx setting the temp lower to reduce hallucination, RAG, system prompt to make it suitable for their aim on the product

If u messed around with LLM u would see that changing temp of the api can affect the outcome and it depends on how u want it to be

Higher temp = more creative but also more hallucination

Pplx was built and meant for research ( which data accuracy and limiting hallucination is extremly important )

They can set the temp to higher but that just wouldn't be them and increase the cost also

I'd say they did a great job on providing a good product
