WHY has the ANDROID APP been bugged for 24 HOUR ALREADY?
I don’t normally randomly shout but it’s honestly ridiculous this isn’t patched by now. Android users are getting blank responses back on questions and have to jump through hoops or use the website to see the actual responses. And it’s affecting a notable number of people with this being at least the third post about over the last day. I have to manually update this app so it’s something on the server side… At least if OpenAI crashes they get it back up ASAP.

I just don’t get it. Isn’t their valuation currently between $20-30 billion? Patching something you broke shouldn’t take this long, especially when the text that’s invisible actually exists. It just makes me wonder what other cracks could be around the house. I’m still a fan but FIX YOUR SHIT!

But nope — turns out you only get a limited number of Labs prompts per month, and they don’t even tell you that up front. You only find out the hard way: when you’re suddenly out of Labs credits… usually at the beginning of your cycle. Then you’re stuck for the rest of the month, unless you pay to upgrade.

If there were even a simple countdown of how many Labs requests I had left, I could have managed them better. Instead, it feels like a bait-and-switch upsell: get people hooked on a product they think they’re getting for a year, then cut them off mid-month so the “free” plan is basically useless.

Honestly, I was using Perplexity so much I thought, “Yeah, I get why they’d give me 12 months free, they want me addicted.” But if it just shuts off without warning? LOL. Might as well build my own Perplexity — with hookers and blackjack.

Yea same, what I like more about ChatGPT search is that I can search for things and chat about the things I’m searching at the same time, major downside of perplexity is the always on search mode
