1. I not sure enabling all 4 sources is a good way to optimise your specific prompt/query
2. Lack of granularity in settings - I agree

should also be an option to remember last setting for web search

Model selection is rememeberd by default, but there should be a setting whether to do that or not

I then asked a prompt, and it quickly found the relevant sources only (several PDF files had nothing to do with my question)

For each thread, I followed up with the same question of - did you use web search for your answer

and correctly, the first one said it did, while the 2nd one said it only used the uploaded sources (the PDFs)

again, I've uploaded 2.5 million word PDF file with Perplexity and it manages to interrogate it very well

you have to do it with Spaces though (as a source), as the word count limit is too much for normal attachment
