Hey there, I'm trying to replicate this issue on my side. Could you please help me out? Do you think you can try to explain me some steps on how to best make this issue appear?
You mention CTRL, is it because she was trying to use the Partial Move feature in the inventory?

Hey there!
In regards to steps, it didn't happen on my machine but only hers.
I'm hosting an online server, private password protected and she is joining via Steam.
We're both on our local network so ping was in the low 20ms
Would spawn into the initial chamber, all movement controls and menu controls work fine.
Interacted with the first flame thing(?) in the room which initiated dialog - her SPACEBAR would not work to continue and exit as instructed - ALT+TAB reenabled controls and allowed SPACEBAR to be recognised.
Ran up to the first book to read outside on the overlook. her controls would get locked upon pressing E to interact.
ALT+TAB would again allow her to exit out.
Same would occur when opening chests or looting the first mobs in the beginner shrouded cave.
We found that using CTRL (aka the evade key by default) would cause this is happen consistently and others have reported it happening via SHIFT as well.
This would lock any ability to interact with the menus i.e. looting and/or dragging items around in her backpack.
Troubleshooting wise we have:
Deleted the server and made a new one.
Deleted our characters and made new ones.
Verified intergrity of files.
Reinstalled the game via steam.
Turning off sticky keys.
Rebinding both EVADE or RUN to different keys - the same outcome happens regardless.

I'll try to reproduce it with what you gave me but I might need to poke you some more if I need some more answers.
Here are some additional questions -
- Does your partner have additional controllers connected to the PC?
- Is the keyboard different in any shape or form from a bog-standard keyboard? Any special buttons such as turbo buttons, etc?

No worries, hope sometihng comes from this and if not thank you for looking into it regardless.
- No additional controllers, unplugged everything like printers and webcam to see if that was an issue but nothing helped.
- It's a Varmilo mechanical ISO-UK keyboard, directly plugged in, no additional special keys, bog standard QWERTY ENG-UK, we did try without it plugged in and using the laptop keyboard instead but that did not help either.

Right... I tried here and I can kind of see what the issue might be. It's like the sprint button is on a toggle setting instead of "hold down and release setting".
I am sorry to trouble you further, but would it be possible to get a log of the game from your partner after such a session? it suffices if your partner replicates it once and leaves the session (including alt-tab).
It can be found in the Enshrouded folders within the Steam folders. it's a .txt file with the name "enshrouded"
