Heya, you had the Intel specs, right?

noble minnow
#

Oh sorry, did not know we could answer here

#

I have absolutely everything up do date. I tried everything. Windows 7/8 comptability, admin mod on steam/enshrouded, drivers up to date, windows also, lowed all graphics. Did the tutorial on the !minidump command, even the vulkan one.

#

Played for 30+ hours, and suddenly

#

from nowhere

#

i'm not able to play it anymore

chilly pumice
#

You can, yes. It's also not a private message, just a thread that others can read if needed. It also helps me keep these conversations focused

#

so if others have issues, they can keep typing on the channel while we keep the focus on your issue

noble minnow
#

Well, from what i saw here and on forums a lot of people are struggling with the same problem

chilly pumice
#

Could you share with me your specs once more, if possible?

#

Do you also know where to find your Enshrouded.log file?

noble minnow
#

My computer or the !minidump command note ?

#

I was able to play without any problem for +30h. I did not do any update (pilotes, nvidia, steam, windows, or the game itself)

#

And it stopped.

chilly pumice
#

Neither. There's a specific file we like to request that gives us all sorts of information on how the game is running. You can find it under:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Enshrouded
It is called "Enshrouded.log", although the .log may not appear. It's a .txt file.
Just drag it and post it here, please.

noble minnow
#

Sure thing, lemme check

#

Thank you for taking the time

#

This is the only enshrouded.txt I do have in this folder

chilly pumice
#

It's the correct one, thank you

chilly pumice
#

just to clarify, did this start to happen after a specific update or out of nowhere?

noble minnow
#

Out of nowhere, three days ago

chilly pumice
#

Are you running other programs at the same time as Enshrouded?

#

No need to get into details

noble minnow
#

I do have multiple problems. Sometimes I try to launch the game and it shuts down steam & restart it, sometimes I can manage to reach the character selection phase, sometimes it just freezes and close itself asking me to DL the mini dump, and sometimes it literaly break my windows taskbar

#

No

#

I played 30+h with discord & firefox up

#

Tried with nothing at the same time, doesn't change anything

chilly pumice
#

Am I seeing it correctly that your system has 8GB of RAM?

noble minnow
#

No

#

I do have 16GB

chilly pumice
#

Well, here's the thing:
In the file you sent me, the information is as follows:

[I 00:00:00,005] MemoryInfo:
[I 00:00:00,005] PhysTotal: 17,026,232,320
[I 00:00:00,005] PhysAvail: 8,846,823,424
[I 00:00:00,005] SwapTotal: 17,930,072,064
[I 00:00:00,005] SwapAvail: 4,865,540,096

In particular, the "SwapAvail" means that the swap memory available in your system is not enough for our game. Everything else is being used somewhere else.

If you can find a way to increase your available swap memory, it should be enough to run the game again.

noble minnow
#

I don't get it, game worked really fine

#

Why is the game using only 50% of my ram ?

chilly pumice
#

Normally because your PC is using the RAM for something else

noble minnow
#

From the task gestionary (idk the english word sorry)

#

No

chilly pumice
#

Well, do you know how to manage Swap Memory?

noble minnow
#

I have absolutly no idea

#

But I can check on google if you want to

chilly pumice
#

If possible and not overly complicated (some of the Helpers can be of assistance in that regard) we believe it may help your situation.

noble minnow
#

Do you have a good tuto to do this, by any chance?

chilly pumice
#

Currently your Swap memory available is 4.8GB. It is not enough and it is prompting the game to not have enough memory to allocate data.

#

I'd suggest increasing it to 6 or 8 GB

noble minnow
#

Ok, thanks. I'm going to try this.

chilly pumice
#

Best of luck to you

noble minnow
#

Damn. Was a rough path but I managed to do it.

#

Thank you for helping me.

#

Idk why it happened but at least you found the solution
