No, we only have played on one character. she still has all the items and stuff. The map is unlocked like it is for me but she has lost all quest progress and got a ton of questionmarks on the map that we already finished

Well... the good thing is that your girlfriend now has the exquisite capacity of being able to re-collect all shroud root skill points 😅
The character/account is not doomed per se, but strangely enough all player knowledge has been reverted, which includes quests, lore and shroud roots. We'll need to take a closer look which can take a while, unfortunately. If we manage to fix the situation manually, we'll transfer the fixed save game to you, but it won't be fixed today, sadly.

We did all the quests together and finished all of the ?s on the map. I don't think we collected all of the lore pages tho but that is not really important
We stopped playing after finishing every quest and getting the items we wanted and were waiting for future updates
Then logged back in when the update dropped and all of her stuff got reset

Would you guys be satisfied with a pseudo fix?
I can unlock all the player knowledge of the world but attempt to remove the Update stuff. There's a chance that I won't get everything, however.
So either there'll be some early spoilers or the game will count one lore or another as already read, or some NPC dialogue as already seen

Well, this won't be a perfect fix, but if you guys are fine with it, you just need to ask your girlfriend to overwrite her characters save file with the ones inside the folder. Make a backup just in case.
Hopefully this is enough. If you don#t feel like risking it, we'll be looking at your save state further and wil leventually get a fix.

So is it like everything unlocked except the newest update quests? the lore pages are not that important, we only want to play the new update without having to do all her quests again because its a bit annoying having the map cluttered again with quests and ?s
