Im not sure if this is an issue for all hardware but at least for me ive seen bugs where if you cut someone in some places, E.G. Hands, shoulders and others it will sometimes have very weird cutting patterns or duplicate the thing you cut. I only have screen shots of the hand but ive seen it happen in more places too.
