Once downed:

Players are extremely easy to hit and usually die almost immediately.

  • yeah, duh, youre in a fight to the death and lying on the floor, this works as intended

1.2 Major Performance Regression Compared to Beta

  • claims to be a compilation of info, spends ages on his specific use case in performance, I'd either rework it to be a report based on 10s of reports, or omit it entirely and leave it up to the "post specs and fps" thread

Even the better-performing maps still run poorly.

  • I mean, they run ok imo, but sure worthnoting

3.1 Enemy Theme & Consistency

  • Kinda complete nonsense to me, sorry, all of it makes sense as implemented

4.1 Weapon Access & Crafting
At the start of Progression Mode:
Weapon access is extremely limited.

  • that's... the point. Who wrote this???
    "blades cant be crafted early"
  • idk seems likegood balancing, arbitrary in a way, yeah, but swords arent what I think of when I think peasants in squalor, kinda makes sense to me

Players start with no armor, without explanation.

  • YOU'RE A FUCKING PEASANT
    Clothing (e.g., shirts) visually implies protection but appears to offer none.
  • IT IS CLOTH, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
    There is no feedback explaining what clothing or armor actually does.
  • It's a physics based combat/damage game, how would you explain what armor does? It does the same thing as irl

going to tavern (after one fight, 10 fights, winning, losing...) throws me into character creation

The most annoying thing for me is how easily the player falls and how hard it is to get up. It literally takes like 15 seconds to get up after hitting my shoulder on a wall.

Yeah while I think someone getting to you while you're down equaling death is kinda just how things work and should work

how easy it is to slip and how hard it is to get up could use more forgiveness

I think they broke the auto balance or whatever the demo had. When I get up the player just stumbles on its knees for a good 5 seconds

There is also a bug with the "Retire option" soft locking progression

it sends you back to the character creation menu after leaving the fight menu

and you lose rank progress
