Question about your armor! :D

So I have made my own cardboard plate armor before, but I never tried making complex designs on that armor. How did you make it? I was able to sketch out a design I wanted but I wasn’t sure if people used duct tape or not to make it contrast. Sorry for all the yappin, I just wanna deck out my armor 🙏🙏

In terms of the design on the armor, I am using gold paint pens which you can find at any art store, this is going on top of silver spray paint. I don't think that I would work ontop of duct tape, I am really just doing it ontop of the raw painted cardboard
