the paunce of plates is reversed

they were designed to take blows from below so they have the opposite direction as the pauldrons

#

if it's like that it's a lot easier to get stabbed in between the plates, but if it's reversed, i.e top plate under the plate below under the plate below (rather than over) it's a lot more practical
