I just purchased a new monitor that has hdr and dolby vision and every time i have used lsfg on the new monitor it runs very low on any game cyberpunk, youtube, etc. when lsfg is off the framerates are much higher and normal from my primary gpu. I have auto hdr turned off and regular hdr turned on. ACM is also off.

Specs:
GPU 1: Radeon rx 6800 (pcie x8)
GPU 2: Radeon rx 6500xt (pci x4) (fg gpu)
Monitor: 4k qd-oled dell plus 32 in
CPU: 3900x
Desktop PC
WIN 11

is rx 6000 pcie 4? 4x4 4k HDR might be a lot for the 6500

yes it is

#

im not intentionally running it at that thats just its speed

Update it's not fixing the issue but I plugged into the 6800 and it is running a lot better so tomorrow I'm gonna try it again and see if it's GPU or software issue

#

Also I'm having trouble looking at amd adrenaline but I don't think thats because of lossless scaling

Check and monitor your frame gen gpu usage & power, will say a base of 10 is a far too low given you’re not using autohdr even for 4.0 x4 but it may be you’re oversaturated somewhere.
I have a 5700xt and it can handle up to 60-65fps of 4k autohdr passthrough before it starts getting oversaturated on PCIe 4.0x4 so i suspect something quirky w software configuration / driver

#

Try also without vsync as this can cause issues, and lower the flow scale to 50 or so for 4k

#

And also can you confirm with gpuz that you’re definitely running 4.0 x4?

Last I checked it was but is there a way to see that without adrenaline because amd adrenaline really doesn’t like me RN

#

I might fully reset drivers first

Yeah use GPU-z to check

so I decided to give up becuase there was some noticiable issues trying to use the 6500xt in 4k and it was working fine in 2k. Im also in the process of doing a full upgrade so Im just gonna sell the 6500xt and give up on dual gpu as im twinkering with linux

thanks for the help though
