As soon as I enable lossless scaling/simply launch it and alt tab back into my game before the 5 seconds are up, my controller inputs no longer work at all. I have to unplug the controller and plug it back in then wait a few seconds. Even then it will frequently disconnect, and the game no longer recognises my controller inputs when I'm trying to bind keys for the controls ingame.

Only happens when I launch the lossless scaling which tells me the overlay messes up the controller inputs somehow. This bug will occur even if I have not pressed the scale button, so long as the program is launched controller inputs bug out

*another thing I've noticed is any time I need to go somewhere with a loading screen the controller will stop working after the loading screen when I have lossless scaling on

I've tried:

  • disabling steam inputs for controller with Lossless Scaling
  • launching as admin
  • hotkey to enable instead of pressing scale (doubt this is the issue anyway since the controller inputs stop as soon as Lossless Scaling launches)

even if I disable or close the scaling app after this happens, controller inputs still are no longer recognised for binding until I restart the game

found a solution/workaround: download Microsoft Powertools and launch Lossless Scaling, then press the hotkey combo for 'always on top' from the Powertools. This stops the controller disconnecting
