I am interested to know when using both LSFG and the Scaling features in Lossless Scaling, whether Lossless Scaling does LSFG on the unscaled window and then uses the selected scaler to scale, or scales the window and then does LSFG. Knowing which way it works would help be better educated in deciding which scaler to use, and also what Resolution Scale to use for LSFG's Optical Flow.
#Is LSFG done pre-scaling or post-scaling?

Doing some testing looking at LS's GPU usage, I would hazard a guess that LSFG is done pre-scaling, as increasing the scale factor reduces Lossless Scaling's GPU usage significantly when LSFG is enabled, even when leaving LSFG's Resolution Scale setting untouched.
Calculations for FG is done pre-scale to save on compute. Scaling is done and FG is applied after, so yes correct guess 🙂
As far as flow res goes, depends on content, in general:
1080p: 70% and above
1440p: 60% and above
4k: 50% and above
Can be lowered or raised depending on the content on screen. Lower flow can lead to more haloing, but the ranges above should mostly be seamless
