#frame gen does nothing but artifacts

What is your windows version? Mine is windows 10 22h2. If yours is windows 11 24h2 that can happen with dxgi api. In that case update your lossless to 2.11.2 version (beta) which improves wgc for windows 11 24h2. Then use wgc instead of dxgi capture api in lossless. You can update to 2.11.2 in steam right click properties betas beta-beta. If your version is not 24h2 (can be 23h2, 22h2 or 21h2) disable all overlays active in background like nvidia app overlay etc. Also use dxgi api not wgc. Use borderless or windowed mode instead of exclusive fullscreen (make sure)
Thank you for your explanations. I've updated Lossless to beta-beta, and set dpi to dxgi, yet game still artifacting. my windows version is 11 22h2, I have no idea what am I doing wrong here. this is also a ss of RivaTuner settings which I fix fps on 40 with. my monitor refresh rate is also 75hz if that does make any change here
Then you should use dxgi not wgc. I guess if you read what i have written you are using that rn i hope
dpi was already set to dxgi
I'll try it. is RivaTuner settings okay there? I once had it off and artifacting was a little bit less than before
there will be artifacts since you use low base fps
You should also disable performance mode lsfg if you use it but i dont know if your pc can handle it
Can i see your rtss settings (setup down there)
Also lossless settings
I have performance turned off this time. dpi is set on dxgi'
Where can I look it up
I need all settings
Like i said down there it says setup on interface of rtss(add-delete-reset-setup)
Other ones?
Do you want to use rtss frame limiter or nvidias? If you want nvidia you can use it with reflex here. Reflex nvidia cap has lower latency rtss limiter has better frame pacing
You can just create a profile for it and put 0 there
I didn't get it
so then global settings won't apply to lossless frame gen?
Yes global cap wont effect it
Alright, Imma try it thank you
disable encoder and passive waiting settings in there btw
compability properties
passive waiting causes stuttering
and encoder setting is not needed if you only play games
Got it, thanks
You have 75 hz screen max cap you should use is 37.5 there if you use default option sync (in lossless)
I'ts better now, fps generated is 37/72. there is no screen tearing/stutter. there is just artifacts for the head/hat part (rdr2 game) which I can ignore I guess
You should use 37.5 if you want the best frame pacing which is your monitor refresh rate (double of it)
much better so far
which gpu u use?
RTX 2060 evo 6g
That is quite okay to use lsfg. You wont have much problems then i guess
yeah, thanks for the guide, helped alot.
