#

i'm guessing your monitor's hz is 60, right?

#

hmm... that doesn't look right at all. either your monitor isn't set to 144 hz currently or you set a global fps cap that's also capping ls

#

what do you use to cap the game?

#

i see, and can you confirm that you don't have a global setting in amd settings (amd chill or amd frtc) that caps fps?

#

oh

#

ok. try this: close ls then add ls to rtss and set the profile like this

#

re-open and test

#

welp... ok. can you show your ls settings? just this part is fine

#

😎

#

emulation is best use-case with lsfg imho. that and pc games with fixed fps caps

#

ok that looks fine. what's your gpu model btw?

#

right... so... one more basic question before i get to the last thing i can think of

#

do you have any overlays running (except rtss, it's fine), like steam overlay or something else?

#

even nvidia whatever overlay

#

it's worth the try. rather close ls, uninstall ls and reinstall

#

ok make sure nvidia instant replay is disabled

if it doesn't work, you can try adding ls to nvidia control panel and make sure all the settings there are default

if that doesn't work, reset nvidia's global settings to default (take screenshots if you have changed stuff and would like to revert to them if this doesn't work)

IF NONE OF THOSE WORK, then try this:
download nvidia driver 551 or 552
download ddu
disable internet
run ddu in windows safe mode to remove nvidia drivers
restart pc to normal mode
install nvidia driver
restart pc
reconnect internet

#

you can also try ls legacy 2.8.2 branch in steam, maybe 2.9 is not working right for you

#

ooo boy that's a lot of icons

#

close everything lol

#

just to test

#

oh and remember you can open ls directly from the .exe in its installed folder. no need to have steam open

#

🤷‍♂️ could be

#

💀

#

don't use any 555 nvidia driver

#

it has issues

odd knot
#

nothing else i can think of tbh

#

🤨

#

you using a laptop?

#

oh

#

well then

#

do you only use the laptop's display or do you run multiple displays

#

ahh ok

#

see if this helped

#

you can try to add ls to windows graphics settings and set it to high performance (only because you are using an external monitor) and then also in ls set the preferred gpu to nvidia

#

oh i forgot to ask if the external monitor is connected via hdmi/displayport or usb-c?

#

oh ok holdon

#

you can try it as i said, but with usb-c you should rather set ls to power saving in windows graphics settings. then only select nvidia in ls preferred gpu

#

try both methods

#

and make sure ls is closed

#

you can re-open it after you set it in windows

#

🤣

#

ok. with hdmi just remember to set it back to high performance in windows

#

interesting...

#

so the problem does lie somewhere with the secondary monitor

#

well... here's to hoping hdmi works

#

welp. i'm outta ideas

#

now that the monitor is running through hdmi, is it actually set to 144hz?

#

hopefully

#

yeah it's also for if you game on one monitor but wanna move your mouse over to another monitor and do something else while the game is running

#

you can try toggling it too

#

and see if it's really running 144?

#

oh

#

yup. you can try the last resort i mentioned, cuz i got nothing else

#

it might even be the dock itself that's the issue, dunno

#

i'm out. good luck

odd knot
#

oh btw. can the monitor be set to 120 hz maybe?

#

if yes, try it instead

#

if nope ...

languid sundial
#

@slate snow show rtss once

languid sundial
#

yes

#

the main screen of rtss where you cap framerates and stuff

languid sundial
#

and in losslessScaling.exe?

#

what i do is just put the game i want to play here, and cap that to 72 (in your case)

#

global i keep limit as 0

#

keep lossless unlocked

#

make that 0

#

then thats fine, the problem lies elsewhere

#

no clue 🥲

#

is it working on your native laptop screen?
