#Strange behavior when using LSFS 2.1 FG on/off in any game

Hello guys!

I'm encountering an issue while using LSFG in any game. In this example, i was playing a game locked at 30 FPS (RPCS3 emulator) using LSFG 2.1 with a 2X factor. When I enable it, the screen shows the FPS as 144/144. Shouldn't it display 30/60 instead? I can't see any visible difference when activating LSFG

My config:

ryzen 5 4600g
rx 6600 with driver 24.4.1

weird question, but does it get fixed if you change the volume of the game from your keyboard?

#

like, for the volume popup to appear and disappear once

make sure there arent any interfering overlays (game bar/amd's/etc..)

I encountered a similar issue with Ghost of Tsushima, showing 167/144, so I performed a clean installation of drivers (DDU) and uninstalled xbox game bar using PowerShell. However, it might be an AMD compatibility issue, but as an NVIDIA user, I'm unable to provide much assistance if that's the case.

# low hinge keeps at 144/144

If it fails to capture game frames and instead captures system frames, there may be an interference with the process.

That's great to hear!

I am struggling with the same issue and I have RX 6600 XT as well, it shows 60/60 while the game is actually running at 30 FPS, I will try the Xbox Game Bar first and then the other one and see if that helps!

Mhm sadly it still runs at 359/359 on my end

Okay, it just worked for me when I disabled my Replay thing, like it shows an overlay , do you have any overlay maybe Instant Replay that shows up at the bottom right? Maybe try disabling that and check.
Atleast its working for me with the Emulators I was struggling with but it still sucks that I can't use my replay feature

Mhm maybe I need to check nvidia drivers and overlay yeah... gonna update/reinstall them and try again and after that Im gonna try disabling overlay overall... Because before the fresh windows install lossless sclaing worked without needing to remove any overlays etc.

Hopefully it works with that and hopefully they can update this as well because it used to work great for me before with overlays as well!

#

@wet frigate I also downgraded my Lossless scaling to legacy version 2.8, which has LSFG 2.0 but it works with my games with overlay enabled as well so try that too.
Go to Steam > Lossless Scaling Properties > Beta and select the legacy version from dropdown

I tried it but it seems not to work still. I even tried Dark souls 2 rn which has a 60fps limitation but it straight up jumps to like 360/360 again even with 2.0 version...
