would be really cool if it was possible to also use it for VR Games, the ASW we have currently doesn't really look or works that good because it auto caps your fps wich i dont want

Agreed

It is definitely possible. The developer just need to convert the screen capture to OpenGL and it will work just like OBS.

I also wish that software for VR so much...
It will fix the biggest issue I have with VR.
But I think it is way harder to make.

I don't have the technical knowledge, but it's different from capturing a window then do the scaling. You need to capture the VR video feed, then scale it, then give it back to the VR headset.
Maybe a SteamVR plugin would work, but it would be a separate software to make it happen 😦
And maybe it works différent. Some VR programming/knowledge would be needed.

Unless someone can port the software to VR, it will not happen. Unless there is something I don't know.

We can only dream.

You don’t want a 1 frame+ latency in VR though, you’d move your head and get sick

#

ASW and similar do clever tricks to deal with the latency, but they have access to the game engine

#

Frame gen is needed in VR don’t get me wrong, but a different implementation

#

And I’m certain the artifacts of LSFG would be way more visible and annoying in VR than on a flatscreen, it might not even be better than ASW
