Listen... you made these survivors way too cute. let me pet them.

it doesn't have to do anything to hinder their gameplay at all. (though i would like it if it made it harder for them to wiggle out in exchange for doing no damage/looting) i just want more ways to interact with them.
Let me emote at them. let me do a funny little trick for them. let me pick up junk and tools to give them stuff if i like them. hell, Ill use a key to wind them up if you let me.

And then if i decide to do things the more direct way with a rude bunny it will have more impact, i'm sure.

but don't make all the options i have either mean or neutral, please 🙁

I think mechanically petting, winding up, or giving bunnies keys should have a downside for bunnies.

Petting the bunny could give them madness, and steal their charge giving it to the magician.
Giving a bunny a key could be a 1 time use that breaks and reveals them for a shot time.(Could also be a new type of item idea too)
Winding the bunny up could cost them a life gear.

Mechanically speaking, I was thinking it would be the equivalent of a taunt. Something that Is suboptimal for you to do, on purpose. But, you know, nicer.

so, hear me out. Bunny offers key. If Magi accepts it, the magi does a 5 sec juggling act or Magic Trick. Magi charges a bunny, the bunny gains a random card. Magi can cuddle a bunny (just like bunnies can use cuddle buns), The bunny's madness maxes out. (this could lead to some pretty fun plays as well)

I do think petting as a way to increase madness might be a fun idea. But I don't know if they would go for it, considering there's already creepy speech in the game

I was saying max out madness, cuz you get the rabid attack bunny and the bunny's madness is set to 0. So a trade off to make it Useful, fun, and not OP

Maxing out madness would be too much. Even looting bunnies only takes things out of 4+ slots, not all of them. At most, maybe add 2 quarters to the madness meter.

The reason I say max it out. The bunny goes fully mad, attacks a fellow bunny player. This is strong, but leaves 1 bunny still on the same floor. This would also reset the madness meter of a cuddled bunny to 0. From playing bunny, I can say having your madness at 50% or higher is WAY worst then just going mad.

So yes, it sounds super strong, but in practice this would be weaker that increasing madness by a % chunk.

if a bunnies madness maxes out you drop them, which means you make them mad but they dont lose a life gear

tbh, the more I think about it the less likly Id use it in a match Im taking seriously. Though if you have 1 bunny thats cracked at looping, imposters are on cool down, I can see situations where this could come in handy.

Yeah, my suggestion is intended to require basically no balance work. Animation and voice work is already asking a lot. I definitely don't mind it being highly suboptimal play to do.... That's kinda the point.
