#Magician can Untie the Ropes

yeah 100% that and i would add something good about the rope too that could be nice is able to stay hold without climbing at cost of energy you just hold if you see the magician on top at this moment
without need to let go and lose life by let go or lose life by magician at top
I kept thinking about it because i clearly think magician need that vs good premade team but put down the rope would be too strong vs non premade
So i would say maybe don't untie the rope but do a little quick animation for the magician to put up the rope where the tie is, so bunny have just to go to this tie again and just throw again the other extremity of the rope
Because if the rope go down bunny have to take it again in the inventory and then could be taken somewhere else floor bellow or put on bad spot to a floor with already a rope instead of floor above or put down on the floor by bunny or magician searching bunny or put in chest somewhere, so hard for non premade and new player
And it's better for bunny if the magician is somewhere else vs a bunny the rope that is still attached can be put down fast by any bunny and bunnies teammate can use this time to climb etc
It would prevent magician to completely lock down a floor and Block any progression too much harder i think of people that gonna play like me defensive and it could be too strong to untie and put down the entire rope
This would be good now in the 1v5 mode if it sticks around
i think you can take it a step further and allow magi to yank it down from the bottom especially if bunnies are already climbing on it

rope is crazy oppressive so i dont think it would be unfair at all
I just imagined the Magi yoinking the rope from below while a bunny tries to climb it and its absolute cinema in my eyes

And yeah I agree its kinda OP but at the later stages (imagine you and your teammates reach floor 3-4) if you get caged and sent to floor 1 without any ropes and like 3-4mins left its pretty much ggs for you
considering Magi blocks doors which he should
but still, cool idea, and still, ropes OP
if ur team maintain pressure on floor 4 you can still get up via any other objective on that floor quite quickly
if the magi comes down to get you in particular then they forfeit the last floor

I also like the idea of the Magi "Pulling up" the rope if he's at a upper floor so other bunnies have to throw it back down again, that seems cool
i like the idea of it being floor dependent as well
And both ideas can co-exist, if Magi wants to pull a rope that connects for example floor 1 and 2 and he's at floor 2, he can only pull it up (leaving it for other bunnies to re-throw it) on the contrary, if he wants to totally remove it he has to TP a floor below to do so and waste some time so its a risk-reward kinda thing
I would also make it so both actions took a bit of time, kind of like when Magi fails a grab and has to re-adjust his body and waste a couple seconds till he can do the grab again, Id make it so pulling or breaking the rope would take a few seconds aswell so it can also serve as a "distraction" for bunnies
it should be shorter than it takes a bunny to place the rope in the first place
so either make it a very short animation or increase the amount of time it takes to place rope

There were already so many discussion about it that in one discussion people kinda aggreed on having them to hold E and not taping E
Cool idea - personally the only thing I got about ropes is (still) that I feel like its instant E to climb down animation is a really cheap chase ender and I'd love to see a 1-2sec hold E interaction to start climbing down (same as with the bike after using) so in a really close one it doesnt just cut it. But the untie idea also sounds really cool ... just don't make it too fast. It should probably take a while to untie it so its a time commitment.
Did anyone mention the Magi being able to yank a rope from below and make a climbing bunny fall? Because that is some cool shit ngl

yes there was a hard disagree. Someone also mentioned that you could wiggle the rope. The bunny need some kind of escape

I honestly really dislike that idea, there has to be a way to permanently move the play area up after a while, ropes do that really well
they shouldnt be easy to put up, but then also stay there
rope is the reward for pushing a bunny up a floor. Magi should not be able to reverse it. otherwise and single bunny objectives are SIGNIFICANTLY worst. Cannons especially become worthless.
Can’t wait to lose a gear making my way up a floor AND losing my rope AND being thrown/caged to the first floor.
Ropes take a lot of charge anyway, if your team is running around on 4 and you get tossed to 1, you might not even want to rope up due to the cost
thats why all ropes need is a hold E interaction that delays climb down usage by 1-2secs \o/ Same as with used bikes
i had to consider it for a bit but I agree that would be a good solution (doubly so if everyone's movement speed slowed down a little bit)

I think it should be after a certain amount of usage like 5 for the whole team before the Magician can do that
And for the Magician to know he can do it, the rope should be highlighted either a different colour or become a dark grey colour for both sides to see.
I disagree when you go against High MMR magicians this would be a nightmare

nothing should be done to ropes. Maybe the hold E to climb down to nerf it being used to avoid taking damage and losing a key during a chase. It's Function is to promote a team pushing a teammate to a higher floor. that teammate secures a path for the rest of the team.
Giving magi a way of sabotaging this pathing devalue not just ropes, but also cannons and ziplines. Since there would be no reward to use a pathway only 1 bunny can use at a time.
cannons can't even be used without leaving a bunny behind.
