Its nothing new that asyms are dying everywhere you look. Thats why the devs should try to avoid that in advance (also by doing some stuff like dbd because they are really the only one, who manages to survive in the asym genre.
1.** Variety** (more maps, characters, abilities, items, ways to progress)

Dont mess up the step between casual and competitive. Decide for one because if you try to get both you end up getting nothing
-
Licenses are a very important part of asym games and I think it is really important for Carnival Hunt to have some.
-
Always give players some sense of accomplishment. Even if a killer just kills one bunny, award them for that. If a bunny doesnt escape award them for getting to a certain floor. It makes loosing easier. (could be done through something like the emblem system in dbd)
-
Good core gameplay before building around it. Only if the core works, the rest of the game can be built around it
-
Lore and characters give the game depth and make Influencers do theoretical vids about it
In contrast to much of this I also think overflowing the game is not a good idea. It would make balancing very hard and confuse new players very much. And thats also the problem with live service. How do you get enough content to feel fresh but not too much to feel overwhelmed.
It is very hard to hit the right spot here but I think what would make it feel fresh without adding new content are reworks combined with high effort hyped up skins (that doesnt mean this is the only type of content I want but that I just think sometimes dont add a new character, instead just do this) or map themes for winter (for example).
Last note: there was this very long conversation about content coming to the game recently and I want to be clear here: I want new content but it should be done the right way.
