docking is so hard 😭 I'm trying to dock two craft together but they just end up doing circles around each other, it's so annoying, I've looked up tutorials on how to do it but they don't help, can someone please help me on how to dock and not just end up having a barycentre between the two craft

If you can get two craft close to each other I recommend setting both the crafts tragets to be the other crafts docking port

#

Then use point towards target and use one of the crafts to slowly move to the other after the docking ports are pointed towards each other

Try lining up everything then hit delete. Work your way in it's slow but works pretty good for a flying brick.

maybe its good to cancel out relative velocity first, then going for docking (assuming craft are relatively close first)

# severe stirrup docking is so hard 😭 I'm trying to dock two craft together but they just end up...

First step is set the craft to target

Second step is to align your shuttle with the target's orbit (basically match the orbits)

Third step is to wait to the closest intersect point (displayed on map

Then you press the sas buttons (i forget the name but its basically to decelerate or accelerate the orbit)

You can check the target's speed by hovering over it, if its behind you, decelerate, and same if its in front of you,

When you get close to it try to match the speed as close as you can

Then you should see it close to your shuttle, simply select the targets docking port, lock on, and either use mono or thusters

Also is good to use rcs controls to move prograde direction (while in target speed) to be directly aligned with each other, so they will head straight to each other
