it could have something to do with my mods, but all the saves are still perfectly fine in the games folders, how do i recover them?

if you used CKAN a way to see if it's mods is to export the mod list, uninstall all, then check. Then reinstall from the mod list

#

pretty simple especially if all the mods are cached

the mods have been running fine for months, i just want to know how to get my saves running again (they are still saves, and i can view them)

Have your saves gotten moved from the proper directory placement somehow? They are a first level directory simply called "Saves" within the "KerbalSpaceProgram" directory not in "GameData" or "KSP_Data".

if they have not been moved, I was saying that a mod may be messing with the menu. You may have installed something new or done something else.

Ok, i remove every single mod, and there is still no saves able to load in game

#

any other advice?

This might be a Steam issue, it’s a very bad idea to install mods in the Steam copy of KSP as that leads to all manner of corruption and weird issues. Try verifying the game’s files through steam and if that doesn’t work, copy all your save folders to the desktop, disable Steam cloud sync for KSP and then completely uninstall and reinstall KSP in Steam.

#

In future, copy the whole of KSP out of Steam and put it somewhere else before installing mods in that new copy. If you use CKAN (and you should!) then having a clean copy of KSP outside of Steam is useful for cloning in CKAN whenever you want to create a new modded install with different mods, it only takes a few clicks and CKAN does it all for you.

your mileage will vary, I have been playing KSP for more than 5 years without corruption issues. Worth trying though, who knows.

I just had to delete a save I didn't really care about that happened to be set in the year 20 billion or something of that sort
