Game crashes spawning vehicle

Vehicle doesn't have many parts, but i think the problem is a ship I have in orbit, I try to delete it via the tracking station and the game crashes, im pretty sure the game thinks im controlling it while im in the VAB then freaks out when I spawn another ship then crashes, is there a fix?

control another vessel then do it is my only idea assuming that it is the issue you described

does this problem persist when you start a new campaign?

I have no other vessel to control

thats my problem I cant

It crashes because it thinks im already controlling the one in orbit even though im in the VAB, etc

if i try to destroy the vessel in the tracking station it crashes too

try validating game files

try starting a new campaign

go back to a save where this doesn't happen

If you check your save files you might find the size spikes at some point. You're best bet is to note the last file that looks normal and try to continue from there. I had similar problems on 2 campaigns and had to go back and relaunch a Rover that clip glitched on launch.
