Is there a way to set one crew pod as primary in vab?

I have a bug where my I can't adjust maneuver nodes from my air launched rocket. I believe it is caused from me having to click control from here at launch so I have control of my rocket when I separate. I can not find a way to set the rocket as primary in vab or how to work around the node bug. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

I didn't have this issue when I did "control from here"
