I haven't seen anything about weather here or the dev diaries (at least not from memory) so I was thinking this could be interesting.

Having weather to plan around would be an interesting mechanic, such as a storm on Duna making solar panels less effective and the environment darker, maybe even wind. I just think it'd be interesting and add some extra challenge in planning long-term planetary missions, colonies, or probes/rovers. Plus landing in certain landing locations might not be accessible due to these storms and you'd have to plan around it. There could be ways to balance it to make the game both fun and more challenging instead of just annoying.

I hope they add it, I think I saw one of the mods Matt Lowne had for KSP 1 having dust storms which made me really want it, since I love the idea of trying to stay behind it or travelling through a storm where all you see is your lights reflecting off the dust. On top of just driving around and seeing an ominous cloud on the horizon.
